Put simply a Shortfill is an E-Liquid bottle filled short. The TPD Regulations came into effect in May 2016, ruling that vape bottles sold with nicotine containing E-Liquid were limited to only 10ml in size and the nicotine content was also restricted making the highest dosage of nicotine 20mg (20mg/ml). The great news is, this saw the beginning of what is now known as Short Fill Bottles of E-Liquid. The regulations did not limit the size of bottles containing Nicotine Free E-Liquid. The majority of Short Fill E-Liquids come in 50ml Bottles, but there are also larger Short Fills containing 100ml and 120ml. These bottles all have space inside as they are usually only filled to 80% of their capacity – Hence Short Fill. This short fill allows you to top up your E-Liquid with what is known as a Nicotine Shot, sometimes refered to as a “ nic shot ‘. Nicotine Shots are available in 10ml bottles with a range of nicotine content. The result is a High VG E-Liquid in a 3mg nicotine strength in a 60ml sized bottle. If you are adding nicotine to a larger short fill bottle, there is space for you to add 2 nic shots.
